Robot Laboratory was instrumental in forming RooBO, a corporate network of firms and individuals from a variety of industries that all share the common aim of developing businesses utilizing robots and robotic technologies. Robot Laboratory acts as the group's secretariat.

With 107 corporate members and 337 individual members (as of June 30,2010,) RooBO is the largest network of its kind in Japan.
